The current third party plugin is less than intuitive in creating documents, however is livable with. The main issue the random way in which the documents are generated, despite how they are displayed in preview.

A document system which honors the way in which the letters/documents were design and created, displayed and created in the same. Also, to not have these generated in PDF as this is hugely frustrating.

  Hi Gary,

  What frustrates you about the PDF format?

  We chose that because of it's widespread availability across platforms - I can't think of one that doesn't have a PDF reader...

  I agree that PDF is the best format to produce documents as they are read only.

  I must admit though, if there was an option to create a word doc that would be great as it would allow us to send out prop forms etc.

  I understand the merits of PDF, however when a document is selected within a case there is no option to edit this, as once saved is in a PDF format for aforementioned reasons. The ability to add or edit the template prior to saving as a PDF would be useful, as the only way I can think currently is to use control:sentence/paragraph etc, but each letter might need customising or individuality in different places.

   

  My main gripe though was with the plugin document creator itself rather than file formats.
