Ability to block IP addresses

We are having issues with competitors trying to do multiple quotes using fictitious information. Whilst we can use the block client option to stop them doing new quotes under that client ref we cannot currently effectively stop them from doing new quotes under a new client ref. If we suspect that this is happening it would be useful if we could identify the IP address and then have the option to block this address from accessing the system.

This sounds like it could be useful, though it might be problematic unless the competitor is known to be using a fixed IP address... are you sure they are? Most businesses' external IP addresses change whenever their router restarts, which can be very often. They would also have a different IP on each of their mobile phones, 3G dongles and at all their home addresses, so it can be hard to come up with an effective solution in practice based on IP address alone.
Are there questions you could add to your question set which are trivial for a genuine customers to answer but a pain for prying competitors?

That said, if you wanted to do this anyway, it could be done with some Custom Javascript in Admin > Custom Javascript, though be aware this is NOT supported! See:
