    Great idea, it might be worth going a bit further to have different referral email addresses for different schemes, that way it gets to the right person immediately.

    There is now a way to do this in SchemeServe.  In the Rules Builder, when creating a rule with a Refer action (on the right), if you also create an action to Send Email, you can email the same referral reason to any email address of your choice.  Just enter the email address in the first box and the message you'd like to send in the second box (we recommend this includes the text from the referral rule).

    Will this send an email per referral or save them all up and send one email for all? It would be more useful to send one email at the end as there may be a number of referrals.

    Adam, will this get updated at some point as currently if you use the referral in the rule builder, when the email gets sent through to the user it doesn't give any client record details, it only shows the message so we can't trace the client.

    Nothing further at present but we do need the Case number to be shown in the email that is generated

    This ticked has been marked as done but I can't see that it is. I have been trying to send an email from a rule but all that gets sent is the text that I enter. There is no case number attached and it does not seem possible to include dynamic fields.

    Please let me know how this works.

    If I should be raising this elsewhere please let me know.

    Is there any progress with this? It is marked as done but I can't see that the case number is included on the emails.

    Sorry you've not heard from us for so long on this one. I've updated this from Done to Planned since without the Case ID in the email this is not great. This is due to be worked on soon now.

    Just trying to catch up on this one now.  To confirm, is it planned to send an email when a case is referred as well as including the case number?

    Do you know if this is going to make the big release ?

    Unfortunately no, this will not be in this release SchemeServe Crimson but will certainly be in the next release after that.

    Hi Adam

    I was about to raise a feature request to send an email to the main user when a case goes on Cover (possibly by adding an extra option on scheme set up similar to the (E-mail user(s) when a new quotation/policy is created" check box), however, if emails sent via rules are to include the case number this could be done by Rule...

    So, was that the plan for this feature request or should I still raise a new feature request?

    Yes that's the plan:  ability to put custom fields in the Email rule in the rule builder.
