What syntax do we use to set an excess via the matrix

I want to set excesses depending on the answer to a question but am not sure of the correct syntax to use.

For example, we have a question: ExcessRequired

We then want the matrix to set Excess_1_Fire and Perils to the answer of the question.

Can you shed some light please
