Using Multiple Look-ups

Sorry if this has been asked before.

Say I want to add drop-downs that depend on each other. So for example:

1, Areas_of_Practice; SubSet1 More_Precise_Area.

2, Car_Make, SubSet1 Car_Model, Subset2 Engine_Size.

Is this possible and how would I go about it? It does not seem practical to use triggers and have a separate drop-down for each make, model etc. as this would become unweildy and be difficult to manipulate for rating purposes.

  John,

  This could be done in Javascript and I have done something similar to limit a dropdown to only include items matching a search string.

  I would love to hear if there is another way to handle this without javascript.

  Hi

  I have a scenario similar to John's 'car make/model' issue from a few years ago.  As my first dropdown will be for the 95 counties in the UK, I don't want to have to set up 95 hidden dropdowns.  I'd prefer just to have the two dropdowns and the second shows the items for the county selected in the first.

  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

  Hi Fraser, 

  As Chris said, this would require a feature request to do it that way.  

  A work around could be to have all the options in a file lookup drop down with the auto complete box ticked in the question.

  Your suggested auto-complete workaround is what we are doing at the moment, even though it's not ideal. But if that's the only way we can do it....
