why dont policies on cover appear in date order? and can I put them in date order
I note there is no audit trail re the numbering system as there are gaps in the numbering and when we put a risk on cover it does not go in date order - please could this be an option ?
As we are "new" to the system we do not know how the renewals will appear on system and wonder if there is a way to find this out as well please

Hi Graham,
Yes there could be an option to display the List of Cases by Inception Date rather than in case number order - I am sure some other users would vote for this so please put that one on the Suggestions Forum and hopefully it will work its way up the list.
The Renewals process is started by running the Renewals Due report, this will then list the cases that are due within the date period selected.
Some users then export this to Excel to create a working list of what has been invited etc, date invited, date renewed so that they can see the whole month at a glance.
The Renewal process in SchemeServe is to go into the Case, click the Renew button (this will only start to appear 60 days before the renewal date) update the changes - at this point the Status of the record will be Quotation. When you are ready to Invite click the Invite button, this will then generate any documents that have set to auto generate at the point and change the Status of the Case to Invited.
When you receive instructions change the Status to On Cover - again this will create your documents if required.
Cases which are not renewed should be set to Lapsed.
In the Scheme Editor you can turn on Auto Lapsing after a certain number of days have expired beyond renewal date.
There is an article in the Wiki Help Guide that you should find useful ;
