We are in the process of changing the way our historical documents are stored, as we are running low on space. We currently store many millions of documents online. When its completed we will have a much larger capacity for the storage of these documents. Once completed you will still be able to access all of your documents in exactly the same way as you do now, right from within SchemeServe.
During this process, we have been notified by a couple of customers that some documents older than 20 months were not available instantly online, so I thought I would write this note to explain what you can do if you encounter the same issue.
The files are being moved from the smaller disks, to a temporary location. They are then verified, before being copied to the final, much larger disk storage, where they are verified again.
A few files have gotten 'stuck' in the temporary location. While the files are safe, both in the temporary location and in our backups, the stuck files are not immediately available to SchemeServe. We are working on clearing this backlog of old files - its going to take a few days (will update when finished), but in the meantime, if you need one of these old files, just drop a note to our Obsessive Support people who can push your specific one to the top of the pile.
