.NET Framework Change
Tonight we deployed a major change to SchemeServe, switching the framework on which it runs from Microsoft .NET version 2 to 4. We also made a number of database and web server tweaks.
Without our faithful users to generate realistic traffic patterns(!) it's too early to say exactly how SchemeServe will behave tomorrow but here are the results of our load testing before and after the changes...
Before
The average number of pages per second the web farm was able to serve was 179/sec. 1000 concurrent simulated users refreshing pages constantly were able to transfer 8.26MB in this time. This translates to an server capability of 15,489,767 page views per day.
After
The average number of pages per second the web farm was able to serve was 406/sec. 1000 concurrent simulated users refreshing pages constantly were able to transfer 57.07 in this time. This translated to an improved server capability of 35,113,170 page views per day.
As always, our engineers will be on hand throughout the day to monitor the SchemeServe platform and deal with any queries you may have.
We'll be monitoring closely!
Best wishes,
Adam Bishop
CEO, SchemeServe
