Add CreationDate and CaseInceptionDate to rules
It would be quite handy to have the ability to have rules based on the Creation Date and CaseInceptionDate (the first premium or renewal inception date not the MTA inception date).
As an example, if a binder changes which leads to a change in the questions and wordings, there is no way to currently ensure the correct wording is applied to the correct quotations (as some quotes would have the old questions and some would have the new questions, the only way to tie these up is to use the creation date).
Thanks

Hi,
Just checking I have the right understanding here. You mean the date the current case RECORD was created and the inception date the current case RECORD, not the case itself? i.e. the current years details, not the original date the case was added, which could be years ago?
What would you compare it against? A typed in date?

I think the Inception Date "Latest Year" is needed.
When there is a binder renewal we are interested in the inception date of the current policy (or renewal), not previous years. However, when MTAs are run we need rules based on the inception date (and creation date) of the current policy, not the MTA date.
Does that make sense ? I am worried I am using the wrong terminology.

So, that sounds like need both.
A Policy one (similar to Policy_) that gives dates for the case as it stands now, and a Record one, that looks at individual updates (MTAs)
You then would have to use them in the right places, Policies one on a first premium/renewal rule, and Record on a adjustment rule.
Ok, will think more of this - ta
