Scheduler for Reporting

I appreciate that the requirements for a scheduler could go on for ever as people visualise additional enhancements......,

However a simple selection criteria of : Report Name, Schedule Date/Time, and a Frequency Option would provide a significant amount of flexibility and i am sure that it would save an equally significant amount of time. The ability to have this emailed to a specific address would be invaluable as an extra.

One other enhancement that would work in conjunction with this would be the ability to make the date selection within a report dynamic enough to move with todays date (i.e TODAY, TODAY +/- nnndays... etc).

Can I have this next week please :) :)

Could we get a Scheduler to Email/FTP reportS in various format CSV, XML etc.

Thanks Danny, I'd love to see this feature, will be a good one. I guess this is for integration with other software? How often would you want to email reports: daily/monthly?

Hi Adam,

we would like it configurable daily /weekly/ monthly (but daily is most important to us ). having this available for download on a SFTP would also be preferred.

Hi Danny,

The spec for this item was completed yesterday and passed to the developers for technical review. It's hoped we can get this into the release after Amber (next), i.e. Indigo (next+1).

Your comments noted re. SFTP which we've tried for but this will be email only.

The scheduler is planned to support varying periods and interval options, plus choice of format and recipient email.

This would be really great also to run complex bordereaux reports outside of office hours, possibly reducing the impact of performance on the system during the day.

The blueprint for this feature was completed today and a developer has been assigned to the project.

Headline features include:
- Emailing of reports.
- CSV, XML and PDF format.
- Daily, weekly, monthly and yearly schedule with relevant choice for day of week / month etc.
- Choice to email to multiple recipients within your company.
- Time will almost certainly be locked to a slot in the early hours of the morning, say 3AM.
I know that many uses are now using our API for report scheduling. This will continue to work but this additional option will be available for all users in the future. I don't have any information on release date but a developer is already working on this.

This is now available in Labs to test. To access this add /Labs to your SchemeServe URL. Eg. myscheme.schemeserve.com/labs

The scheduling feature of report queuing was not completed as part of our original release. It's still something we intend to add to SchemeServe in the future but it's currently not scheduled.
