Ability to limit the entries in a dropdown box via a search facility

Some dropdown boxes contain a large number of entries such as trade selection. These boxes would benefit from a search function in order to limit the items displayed to those in the search criteria.

  I have now done this using javascript. The code will be posted once it's fully working.
