Email Bouncebacks
Hi
We are currently experiencing a high amount of bounce backs from email sent from our scheme serve system. We have spoken to our IT department but they have directed me back to you with the following
Hi Dee,
The bounceback message received is indicating an error on the reverse DNS which has always been setup correctly for your email, after further investigation I have identified that the bounceback message is actually referring to the domain smtp.schemeserve.com, this bounce back is generated by the server hosting the domain pjmcilroy.co.uk as their email filter is set to reject any incoming email that does not have reverse DNS in place.
Unfortunately you will need to speak to SchemeServe (which I am guessing is the website generating these outgoing emails) and forward the bounceback message to their technical department, as we have no control over the scheme serve domain there is nothing we can do, if you want to put our contact details in the email to scheme serve regarding this please do and we can assist with any technical information they need.
Let me know how you get on
Thanks
Pete
